Get er DONE!

Holly and Robert surprised the kids yesterday when they picked them up from school with the news....."We're going to Oak City". (That's where Roberts parents have a home.) The kids were excited, but you can probably imagine how much more excited they were when they passed the exit for Oak City and found out they were really going to DISNEY LAND!

When I woke up this morning, I thought to myself........Hey.....I am catching a flight to Disney Land.......I can't be here when Holly and Lisa (and families) are together in California. So......I went to my computer, booked a flight and then said to myself (in my strongest mom voice......"I have commitments today! I can't go to California." So....I cancelled my flight (thank goodness for Southwest) and got busy about the days business. Now as I look back on what I've been able to accomplish, I am glad that I heard the voice of reason. Today's top accomplishments:

• I took the Christmas Lights Down.

• Organized a few closets in my house.

• Went in to work for a HUGE event that was going on:

• Did all my laundry.
• Did a 15-minute, live radio show on a CBS affiliate in Denver Colorado for our new restaurant in Westminster. (The host introduced me as the "hottest Marketing Guru in the country.") I was so worried that I was going to say Cafe Rio or Rumbi that my heart was pounding.......I did not...it actually went really well.

• Did some yard clean-up in my front yard....including discovering these little sprouts popping up from the ground. MY FAVORITE.....tulips and it won't be long until I have hundreds of them all over my yard! (OK.....maybe not hundreds.......but I am hope full.)

And finally I am here....writing in my blog! The only thing left for the day is a date tonight.......and hopefully I'll return home happy that I didn't go to California. Holly and Lisa.....I miss you so much already! Hope you're having a great time! Have a blast!
