"You've got to have a very steady hand!!!!"

Almost every Sunday, I am invited to my parents house for "Sunday Dinner" where my dear sweet mother cooks some kind of amazing meal. On the Sundays I don't go to her house, you can usually find me at the Howarth's dining with and being entertained by their family. Being single has it's benefits sometimes.......!

See...as a single girl, I am not required or even expected to host family dinner parties. Now you would think that my family would expect more from me......I mean....I don't have any kids to drag around the grocery store with me, my paychecks don't have to pay for braces, diapers, chore charts, juice boxes, fruit snacks, school shoes, any food (or any other item for that matter) that I don't personally need or like.....and yet.....nobody in my family ever asks, "When are we having dinner at your house?" (Maybe they believe the plaque that's hanging on the wall in my kitchen that reads, "I kiss better than I cook.")

I decided the time had come to host a holiday dinner party....at my house...so, I invited both my parents and the Howarths for dinner! It actually turned out pretty good......maybe I shouldn't have made a roast...they may expect me to do it again before next December! I guess that would be OK....because it was actually fun! Here are some pictures from the event!

William teaches grandpa a lesson or two on money as he kicks his bootie in the game of "LIFE".

Did you know they were still making and selling the game "Operation"???? True story!!! I bought this one a couple of weeks ago! For the record...the "man" that children all over the world are operating on is still naked! (Good things he's got a BIF (butt in front) to keep things covered up!)

If you know my mom.....you know she's one of the most competitive Scrabble players of all time! I wont even attempt to play unless she lets me use the dictionary to find words! This is a shot of Robert, Holly, Mom and Ellery playing "Speed Scrabble". I think Robert won! Hope my mom sleeps tonight!

I finally got my house decorated for the holidays! (I am so happy I decided to paint earlier this year.....my Christmas stuff looks much better with the new colors!)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I love this time of year!
