Earlier this week I posted a family picture taken before my parents had Lisa. I thought I would post this extra special picture of the whole Fam Dam.....just days after Lisa decided to cut her own bangs.
I actually remember very little about the day this picture was taken. After carefully examining our faces......I am pretty sure this was not our happiest day as a together as a family. I am going to go out on a limb and say that there just might have been some fighting going on prior to this photo being shot. Keep in mind, this picture was taken circa 1980.....mini-vans were not invented yet, which means we pulled up in the "Family Squire". Station wagons were designed for a maximum of seven.....and that's with two kids in the pull-out seat in the way-way back. Now....I'd put money on the fact that Lisa was up in front in moms arms, Holly, Scott & Rob were in the back seat, and Johnny and I were in the WAY back....course I can't remember because I couldn't see a dang thing, due to my haircut. I look like Rubberband from "Fat Albert".
PS.......Check it out.....Lisa has a mullet! Hey Johnny....Maybe Lisa really did know what was cool at her school!

Oh my gosh I love this picture. Although you may have been visually impaired by your bangs, Johnny looks like he's headed to the Rancho Bernardo school for the blind. Looking at Scott, I know where Andrew gets his head tilt from.
That was hilarious. I'm going to have to bring a picture of our family that I absolutely ruined when I was around 5 years old. Everyone in the picture looks so great with their feathered hair and beautiful smiles....and then theres me...the little brat in pig tails with the meanest look you've ever seen in your life on my face. I asked my mom later if she spanked me after I ruined that picture and she said no. Turns out she thought it was funny...she said she wanted to remember me the way I was...dang. I feel sorry for myself...I'm going to have to leave work early today!!!
You know what's funny? Johnny would NEVER smile in family portraits. The photographers would always get so mad...cause they would have all of us looking just perfect....and John-Boy would stand there with a scowl on his face!
Oh Ame, I'll show you the picture when I cut my bangs!! Although my hair looks rediculous, it has nothing to do with no bangs. I'll email you as soon as I find it!
I just realized the problem with my hair is that it's a mullet!
Dearest Amy, Well here I am catching up on your blog, or whatever you call it. Dad is in the other room watching an old movie. Heck, this is a lot more entertaining!
I’ll never forget when this picture was taken. I was coming home from the grocery store,
when I saw a sign in front of the Holiday Inn which read “Professional Family Photos for $5.00” When I got home , I gathered everyone up (kicking and screaming) and promised McDonalds if they would just hurry and get in the car. We arrived in some cheesy motel room and had to wait, sitting on a bed in a hot room for almost an hour before our turn. Everyone hated me and Lisa would not stop crying. The photographer was scaring us all. After 2 shots I realized that this was not working. I gave him the $5.00 and we all ran. Little did I know the pain of that day would bring laughs in the future.
Love you, Mom
